March 2020

After 10 weeks in the United States, I’ve returned safely to Santa Cruz, Bolivia to start anew my service here. First off, I’d like to thank all of you who invited me into your homes to share about my ministries and those of you who listened attentively and asked such thoughtful questions. It was a pleasure to meet many of you for the first time and reconnect with a number of you that I haven’t seen since leaving for Bolivia back in 2017. Thank you for your prayers, your words of affirmation, and your offerings. I feel rested and eager to begin a new year of ministry and to see how the Lord moves in the lives of the university students and children. There is a good deal of exciting projects and plans on the horizon that I’ll be sharing with you as the next few months unfold.

In the final days leading up to my departure, I was blessed to be given the opportunity to preach at Nueva Vida (New Life), my sending church in Newbury Park, California. This was the first time I’ve ever preached in Spanish, which was a challenge, but I enjoyed the experience. I preached on the meaning of the glory of God and especially how it relates to the resurrection body described in 1 Corinthians 15. I incorporated stories from my Bolivian ministries throughout the sermon.  IMG_7935.jpgIMG_7932.jpgIMG_7922.jpgIMG_7902.jpgSince my return, I’ve had the chance to swing by the Talita Cumi home on a few occasions. Being with the kids breathes life into Jesus’ words: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14).

A couple of weekends ago the children went to a church camp and I was elated to learn that at least two of the girls had life-changing experiences. Ana (14 years old) told me: “When I was at camp, I felt more free to talk with God and to worship him and pray. I didn’t feel like that before when I couldn’t do that.” Geraldine (13 years old) said: “When the pastor asked us to come to the front, I went. I asked for forgiveness for my sins. After that I was happy because I am a daughter of God and He always takes care of us and is with us. That is what I learned at the camp.”WhatsApp Image 2020-02-26 at 8.40.02 AM.jpegWhatsApp Image 2020-02-26 at 8.39.19 AM.jpegWhatsApp Image 2020-02-26 at 8.39.03 AM.jpegWhatsApp Image 2020-02-26 at 8.38.26 AM.jpegPraises:
